Empowering Sabah’s Future Through Robotics and AI: Invest4Good launches a crowdfunding campaign to revolutionize STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education at SMK Lok Yuk Likas, a leading STEM school in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. This campaign aims to raise RM141,000 (approximately USD $33,000) to bridge the gap in STEM education, despite Sabah’s abundant natural resources and untapped potential.
This project will transform SMK Lok Yuk Likas into an educational hub, where 30 educators will receive training in Robotics and AI fundamentals. These educators will then engage 120 students in both primary and secondary levels through immersive workshops and a STEM Carnival, designed to spark curiosity and build critical thinking skills.
Invest4Good: Sabah Education is committed to creating a replicable model for Malaysia, promoting equity and inclusion by empowering educators and providing students with cutting-edge tools and knowledge. Partners such as the Social Innovation Movement Association, Social Value Malaysia, Brunel University London, Tech Up Kids Learning, Go Tech Up, and the Community Empowerment Initiative Sabah support this initiative, enhancing its reach and impact.
Supporters can expect transparency through comprehensive Social Return on Investment (SROI) reports and a documentary film showcasing the transformative effects of the project on all stakeholders.
