Integrating Immigrants

Mission Statement

Towards equity and social inclusion for all persons, regardless of where they were born.

About the Agenda

We are living in a diverse, multiracial world which is experiencing a migrant crisis. In 2013, 10 206 100 international migrants were recorded in the ASEAN region by the World Bank. Due to conflict, persecution, climate change, increasing connectivity, and the rise of labour intensive industries this number is one which continues to increase.

The rise of ASEAN immigration has profound economic, civil and institutional implications. We require understanding of the changing migrant demographic and these implications, through cross-sectoral insights, in order to formulate innovative solutions to ensure basic fundamental rights for all persons are respected, regardless of where they were born.

This Collaborative Transformation agenda will thus focus on the following areas:

  • Economic Integration
  • Civil Integration
  • Institutional Integration
